　　*around用作介詞，意思是“在......的周圍、環(huán)繞”，多用于美國(guó)英語(yǔ)?！　he earth moves around the sun.　　They planted many trees around the field.　　*round用作介詞，意思“在......的周圍、環(huán)繞”，多用于英國(guó)英語(yǔ)。round還可用作形容詞，意思是“圓的，球形的”，around沒(méi)有這樣的用法。如：　　Their family are sitting round the round table.　　注意：　　表示“在附近、在各處”等時(shí)用around，表示“圓周運(yùn)動(dòng)、測(cè)量”時(shí)用round。如：　　The man traveled all around the world for a week.　　The spaceship traveled right round the world in 40 minutes.
